Weightlifting Tips – Three Simple Tips For Weightlifting!

by on July 20, 2010

Most weightlifting tips out there are useless! They come from people that have no clue what they are talking about. Or even worse, they come from people who are spreading incorrect information that they “heard” from someone else. There is a huge amount of misleading weightlifting “tips” on the web that causes a lot of people to waste a lot of precious time in the gym without seeing any real results. Well, I’m on a mission to cure this “disease”. When it comes to weightlifting, there are a few simple tips that must be followed in order to achieve the maximum amount of muscle growth in the shortest amount of time. I have listing a few below to help you get started.

Weightlifting tip number one… You must train each muscle group once per week. Most weightlifters make the mistake of only training certain body parts that they would like to develop. However, it does not work that way… The body adapts as a whole when it is exposed to new stress levels. In other words, if you are looking to develop your upper body, it is crucial that you train your lower body as well if you want to achieve maximum results!

Weightlifting tip number two… You must get plenty of rest! After a muscle group is properly trained, it usually needs at least five to seven days of rest to fully recover. This is just as important as the time you spend inside of the gym. Actually what you do outside of the gym is even more important! When you are in the gym you are breaking down your muscles not building them. So with that being said, it should be clear that your muscle growth actually takes place while you are resting!

Weightlifting tip number three… You must eat properly! This is extremely important… In order for the body to rebuild itself bigger and stronger, it must have the proper tools. Proper caloric intake, proteins, etc. are essential for building muscle. If you are not eating properly you are wasting your time in the gym! In other words, you are causing your body a lot of unnecessary pain by training hard in the gym for nothing. (why would anyone do that?)

Okay, so here is a brief recap of the weightlifting tips: Train each body part once per week. Get plenty of rest. Make sure you maintain a proper muscle building diet. By implementing these simple and easy to follow guidelines you will be well on your way to seeing the results you want.
